WORKAHOLIC VS EFFECTIVE

Today that companies are continuously downsizing, there is insecurity in the workplace. How can you be sure that you will be keeping your job? Actually, this fear or uncertainty has been around for many years and has produced people who are also known as the “workaholics”.

They usually operate in fear. They may do well at work but may have personal conflicts at home. 24/7 -- they work physically, mentally and emotionally. No matter what they do there is an urge to work more... longer hours... to the point of being stressed.

Compare this to the Effective Worker. Unlike the workaholics, his motivation is not fear. He enjoys what he does --- producing excellent result. He will get the job done even without the boss telling him. He works smart and get things done in lesser time. He is willing to trust and empower the people around him. He goes home to his wife and kids and spends time as he wish.


He knows when to stop and just celebrate success.
